About the role
We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and results-driven Business Development Manager with a ‘can-do’ work ethic and a suitable ‘attitude’.
This position represents a distinctive and influential opportunity for an ambitious professional possessing an in-depth understanding of the Australian and global property landscapes. The candidate should be prepared to utilise this expertise to secure a substantial share of the Australian market. You will serve as a vital link between our established operations and the considerable potential of third-party stakeholders.
As a seasoned Business Development Manager (BDM), you will contribute to fostering growth within the property management departments. Your responsibilities will include developing new business initiatives and converting leads generated within the organisation. Fluency in Mandarin is a significant advantage but not strictly required.
Key Responsibilities
Market Entry Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan to effectively establish our property management services.
Pipeline Generation: Identify, qualify, and secure high-value contracts for property management services from local and international investors, rental providers, and corporate clients in the Australian market.
Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including third-party channels, real estate agencies, and investor groups.
Cultural Bridge: Serve as the primary cultural and commercial liaison, ensuring that our service offerings are precisely tailored to the nuances of both local and international markets, comply with Victorian laws and regulations, and meet investor expectations.
Reporting and Analysis: Provide the Melbourne leadership team with detailed market intelligence, competitor analysis, and accurate sales forecasts to inform long-term investment decisions.

Technical & Skills Required
Be proactive, strategic, and innovative in their approach to business development.
Utilise their local and international networks along with their understanding of the real estate sector to identify prospects and pursue opportunities.
Understand how to add value to clients and targets through business development approaches.
Deliver excellent client service and have strong emotional intelligence.
Demonstrated experience of at least two (2) years in Business Development or Sales within the Real Estate, Property Management, or Short-stay Facility Management sectors.
Knowledge of Property Management Procedures, Regulations, and Legislation.
Melbourne-based, headquartered in Melbourne, Australia; operates with a global mindset and possesses a strong willingness and capability to undertake frequent and prolonged travel to Indonesia to foster and finalise business ventures.
A verifiable track record of exceeding sales targets and successfully negotiating multi-year, large-scale service contracts.
Demonstrate the capacity to operate effectively in multicultural settings. Familiarity with the Chinese business environment or a strong interest in engaging with it is considered essential.
Engaging with clients or prospective clients in China, including investors and stakeholders, requires fluency in Mandarin.
A relevant master’s degree qualification in Business Administration, International Business, Real Estate, Commerce, or a related field.
